Preview-
In the team race Gig Harbor is the favorite and could be the first Westside school to win the large school title since Bishop Blanchet in 1987. This Gig Harbor team has two runners ranked in the top ten and will be challenged by defending champion Eisenhower who also has two runners ranked in the top ten. Other teams who can make a run at the podium include Central Valley, Jackson, Puyallup and Wenatchee. In the individual race Andrew Gardner was the runner up last year and is the favorite he has beat all of the top 8 runners so far this year. Korey Krotzer has come on strong and ran very well at district and could make a strong run at Gardner along with Eastside runner up and third place finisher: Jacob Smith and Sumner Goodwin.

In the team race Redmond, who is led by 4a #9 Megan Legresly, has a slight edge over Bellarmine and Tahoma who were separated by 2 points at Westside classic. Other schools who can make the podium include Defending champion Eisenhower, Jackson and Snohomish. Jordan McPhee leads the individuals into the state meet. Jordan is undefeated this year and will be challenged by Eastern Regional champion Kaitlin Kaluzny and Northwest Regional champion Chandler Olson.

5 time defending champion North Central held off a strong Kamiakin team at districts and will again be challenged by Kamiakin along with Bellevue, Seattle Prep and Mt. Spokane. Defending champion Nathan Weitz was traded victories with Anthony Armstrong this season. Those two and Izaic Yorks all have a good chance at the title this year.

Preview-
Glacier Peak has been the top team in Washington all year but in the past two weeks Camas has shown that they will not be beaten easily by Glacier Peak. Other teams who can challenge the podium include Peninsula, Prairie, Kamiakin, Mercer Island and Liberty. Amy-Eloise Neale has won the past two individual title and Katie Knight has twice been the runner up again these two seem to be the class of the field but may be challenged by Kendra Weitz, Alexa Efraimson and Katie Bianchini.

Sehome won the 2a team title last year and is again the favorite but will be challenged by Lindbergh and Mark Morris. Lindbergh ran without there usual number 3 at the District meet if he is able to run 100% at state they maybe the favorite. Other teams who can make a podium run are Cedarcrest, Squalicum and Interlake. Individually Patrick Gibson and Poli Baltazar have run strong all year and Sean Eustis has come on strong all could make a run at the title.

Sehome has won the past 5 2a state championships and is once again the favorite they will again be challenged by Cheney, who was runner up last year, along with Interlake and Kingston. Sehome and Interlake each have 2 of the top 10 individuals versus Cheney and Kingston each have 1. Individually Marina Roberts has twice been runner up and will be challenged by 3200 state champion Sanne Holland while defending state champion Sarah Reiter is in the field she has had a tough season and will not be in contention unless she returns to past form.
